Protracted situation of displacement: Afghanistan, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen

The webinar – part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Refugee Convention - will focus on the impact of protracted situation of displacement on scientists and science, hearing first-hand from local scholars as well as experts on long-term strategies to uphold science and higher education in times of crisis.

The webinar will be introduced by Stanley Maphosa, Academy of Science of South Africa and TWAS sub-Saharan Africa Regional Partner, and chaired by Peter McGrath, Coordinator of the InterAcademy Partnership and TWAS Science Policy/Science Diplomacy programme, and will feature:
