Evidence for Recovery | Launch of REDS International Report
Responses to Educational Disruption Survey (REDS) | Education Resilience and Transformation

Crises can create opportunities for change. The educational disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic offers an opportunity to rethink the overall purpose, role, content, and delivery of education in the long-term. As education systems plan for recovery, data, and evidence are needed to inform policy.

On 24 January 2022, in connection with the United Nations’ International Day of Education, UNESCO and IEA will present the first findings from the Responses to Educational Disruption Survey (REDS) open-access International Report.

During the event, a first look at the REDS international findings will be presented. Additionally, representatives from countries participating in REDS and education experts will form a panel to highlight country perspectives and discuss key findings around four thematic areas in the context of educational disruption:

Impact on teaching and learning
Academic progress
Teacher and student well-being
Preparedness for future disruptions
