The event will introduce the concept of Water and Peace in the Digital Age, presented by Professor András Szöllősi-Nagy, former Chair of the IHP Intergovernmental Council and UNESCO Chairholder. His keynote will outline the vision and strategic relevance of the Water Peace AI Companion, a proposed long-term foresight initiative under the IHP framework. ORSS Project Inc., which operationalize core principles of the Water Peace Companion through scalable technological and ecological interventions—including freshwater generation, digital monitoring, and ecosystem restoration—will present international pilot projects in 10 Member States. After presentations related to important aspects of water security and risk management experiences, the event will feature a moderated panel discussion on:
Transboundary Water Governance
Climate Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction
Water and Peace in the Digital Age
Planning a UNESCO UNITWIN Network dedicated to water foresight, digital ethics, and hydro-diplomacy
International experts will reflect on how scientific cooperation and ethical digital innovation can address shared hydrological challenges. The session will serve as a platform to initiate the UNITWIN Network.
