Day 1 : Opening Session
UNESCO is organizing an International Seminar on the Evolving Right to Education to be held online on 7 and 8 December 2021 (14:30 – 16:00 and 13:30 – 16:00 CET, respectively), on the occasion of Human Rights Day, to foster a dialogue on the possible new dimensions of the right to education, to make this right better enforced in the present and future contexts.

The International Seminar will bring together country representatives, internationally known experts, members of the civil society and others, to engage in rich discussions on the necessity of the evolution of this right from different aspects, being conceptual, legal, political, or technical, to respond to new and emerging needs and challenges, as well as their implications for ensuring quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. This will help draw a roadmap for the evolving agenda.

The working languages of the Opening Session (7 December 2021) of the Seminar will be English, French and Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation provided in these languages.

Please note that only the Opening Session is open to the general public. The second day will be recorded and shared in due course.

Dec 7, 2021 02:30 PM in Paris
